# DataForge — by Hyperion DataForge, Inc. DataForge is a high-throughput, lossless data-movement engine. It moves any dataset — structured, semi-structured, unstructured, or streaming — from any source to any target, verified on arrival, with zero staging and a closed per-item outcome ledger (Delta-0). The engine runs as a single binary where your data already lives. ## The problem it solves Traditional data pipelines fail in the middle: staging tables, orchestration, retries, and reconciliation add hours and silently drop rows. DataForge replaces that tier with one streaming pass in which every row resolves to exactly one terminal state — inserted, malformed, dropped, or skipped — and the population reconciles to zero unaccounted. The result is available for the work sooner: from data to function, in minutes instead of hours. ## Verified performance (published, peer-reviewable) - 3,032,564,040 rows moved on a single machine with zero failures. - 8.15 million rows per second peak on Intel Xeon Gold plus Pure Storage X90 R4. - The full 401 GB CourtListener corpus (32 datasets, 2.6 billion rows) moved and verified in about 60.5 minutes of Data Movement Time on one consumer desktop. - 75.8 million rows moved database-to-database (SQL Server to PostgreSQL) in 3 minutes 3 seconds. - Delta-0: every accepted unit reconciles to a terminal state; there is no silent discard. - Published evidence: "Pressure Curves and Bottleneck Migration: Hardware Limits Revealed By The DataForge," Osei Harper, Zenodo, 11 April 2026. DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19503175 (CC BY 4.0). The methodology, dataset, and raw results are public and independently reproducible; the benchmark tool is freely available; all hardware is disclosed. The study's finding is that the engine is never the limiting factor — the hardware is. ## What makes it different - Any source to any target: files, objects, databases, cloud object stores, and HTTP. - Byte-lossless object movement (Crucible): whole files, documents, and archives moved with per-object checksums and a closed Delta-0 manifest — change the container, never the meaning. - One binary that runs inside the customer's own environment (zero-trust); only a signed, data-free run meter leaves. - Adaptive throughput governance that responds to productive-output degradation, not fixed throttles. - Independent destination verification and signed, content-free attestation (Ed25519). ## Stack modules (all production unless noted) - Anvil — execution engine (the four-stage movement core). - Hammer — ingestion accelerator (single streaming protocol call). - Bellows — throughput amplifier (adaptive concurrency scaling). - Crucible — universal intake (byte-lossless object and stream movement). - Temper — verification and Delta-0 accounting. - Ember — operational assurance and deployment control (roadmap). ## Publications DataForge is backed by a documented, open-access research corpus on Zenodo, authored by Osei Harper: - Harper's Law of the Universal Process (2026-02-12).
